![]() Briefly flicked though and it should suit one of my purposes for all this: relatively simple reading where I know typically half the words or more already and many of the ones I don't know are repeated often and therefore easy to learn/remember. Since I didn't really want to buy a boxed set, I ended up grabbing the lowest numbered single of Doraemon I could find: #4, Cerita Spesial, which if I'm understanding it right essentially means it's an reprint of an old classic. The sheer number of volumes there was nearly overwhelming (I'd previously just glanced over at that area of the store, having no need to check it out), and I came up nearly empty on my partial list. An update for the interested, I did head out to just the local Gramedia armed with a scribbled down list of some of the more interesting/promising titles listed here. Thanks to everyone for the information masif dan systematic. What's a good series/book to try out for a total newbie? Please something I should easily find at the local Gramedia.Ĭlassics of the genre are good, but given a choice I'd prefer a book with simpler language, since I'll need to look up words I'm not yet familiar with. I've never really read any manga (nor have I watched much anime), but given their relative prevalence here I figure it's time to give the genre a chance. ![]()
